What is the Ink Well Learning Labs Community Education Program?

Ink Well Learning Labs is a community-centered education program offering accessible, high-quality courses that build creativity, practical skills, and career pathways. Through hands-on workshops, professional training, and innovative learning experiences, the Learning Lab empowers learners of all ages to grow personally, professionally, and academically.

Tiered Course Structure


Tier 1 – Foundations

Beginner | Short | Exploratory

• 1–4 sessions
• No certification
• $25–$75 per student (50/50 Revenue Share)

Best for:
Hobbies, intro skills, youth enrichment, curiosity learning

Learning to Paint

Tier 2 – Skill Builders

Beginner–Intermediate | Multi-session

• 4–8 sessions or intensives
• Ink Well Certificate of Completion
• $100–$300 per student (60/40 Revenue Share)

Best for:
Practical skills, business basics, tech skills, creative development

Learning a Computer Application

Tier 3 – Professional Pathways

Intermediate–Advanced | Career Focused

• 8–20+ hours
• Certificate or credential
• $300–$1,500+ per student (65/35 Revenue Share)

The Ink Well Learning Lab is a community education program designed to support high-quality, accessible learning experiences. This summary highlights the core policies and expectations for instructors.

Courses are organized into tiers:

  • Tier 1 – Foundations: Introductory, short-term courses
  • Tier 2 – Skill Builders: Multi-session, practical skill development
  • Tier 3 – Professional Pathways: Advanced, career-focused training

Ink Well reserves the right to assign or adjust tier placement and pricing.


Instructor Responsibilities

Instructors agree to:

✔ Deliver instruction aligned with the approved course description
✔ Start and end sessions on time
✔ Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
✔ Communicate professionally with students and staff
✔ Submit attendance records as required
✔ Follow all Ink Well Learning Lab policies


Scheduling & Use of Space

  • Courses must be scheduled and approved in advance
  • Instructors may only use assigned spaces and times
  • Rooms must be left clean and orderly
  • Any damage must be reported immediately

Ink Well retains priority use of space.


Pricing & Compensation

Course pricing is set by Ink Well.

Standard Revenue Splits:

  • Tier 1: 50% Instructor / 50% Ink Well
  • Tier 2: 60% Instructor / 40% Ink Well
  • Tier 3: 65% Instructor / 35% Ink Well

Instructor payments are issued within 14 business days after course completion, minus applicable refunds.


Enrollment Minimums

Minimum enrollment requirements:

  • Tier 1: 5 students
  • Tier 2: 6 students
  • Tier 3: 8 students

Courses may be postponed or canceled if minimums are not met.


Cancellations & Refunds

Student Refunds:

  • Full refund if canceled 7 days before course start
  • 50% refund if canceled 3–6 days before start
  • No refunds within 48 hours

Instructor Cancellations:

Instructors must provide timely notice if unable to teach.


Code of Conduct

Instructors must:

  • Act professionally at all times
  • Avoid discriminatory, harassing, or inappropriate behavior
  • Comply with all applicable laws

Violations may result in removal from the program.


Intellectual Property & Marketing

  • Instructors retain ownership of their instructional materials
  • Ink Well may use course titles, descriptions, and instructor bios for marketing
  • Photography or recording requires prior approval

Safety & Liability

  • Instructors are responsible for maintaining safe learning conditions
  • Incidents must be reported immediately
  • Professional liability insurance is recommended and may be required

Marketing, Venue, and Registration

The Ink Well Learning Labs Program will use the provided course information to advertise each course to the local community through various platforms. In addition, use of the Ink Well Innovation Center provides a comfortable, safe, and well-equipped venue space. Finally, Ink Well Learning Labs will organize all course registration efforts. The revenue share will cover the cost of these services.
